Description of the Enumeration Districts:

Enumeration District 10
RG10/3630 folios 15-24
  All that part of the Parish of Matlock comprising all the houses from a place called Chapel Hill also Scarthin Nick to a house occupied by Robert Gunn White in Cromford Market Place inclusive, also all Houses over the Cromford Bridge on the Northern Side, also Willersley Castle, Gardeners House and Farm.

  All that part of the Parish of Matlock comprising all the Houses from the Independent Chapel to the Residence of the Revd. Raymond P. Pelly, inclusive, which comprises the Ecclesiastical District of Matlock Bath.

Enumeration District 12

  All that part of the Parish of Matlock from the Residence of the Revd. Raymond P. Pelly comprising all the Houses to Hall Dale, on the Western side of the River Derwent.

  All that part of the Parish of Matlock from Moot Hall Mine to Hurker Hall, as far as the Northern side of the Chesterfield and Matlock Road.

[The entries for ED13 divide into two parts, with Rockside and most of Smedley's Hydro in piece number RG10/3630. Some of the latter is included in RG10/3631. In total there are 255 schedule numbers in this ED, and there were many entries for Smedley's Hydro.]

  All that part of the Parish of Matlock Situated on the Southern Side of the Matlock and Chesterfield Road and on the Eastern side of the Matlock and Alfreton Road including part of Lumsdale, Cuckoostone Farm, Wold Farm, the Moor and all the Houses on the Eastern side of the Lane from Asker Lane Toll Gate.

  All that part of the Parish of Matlock comprising all Houses on the Southern side of the Matlock and Alfreton Road including Cliff, Riber, Hearthstone, Town, High and Low Leas.

Enumeration District 16

  All that part of the Parish of Matlock comprising all the Houses situated in Starkholmes, Woodseats, Woodend, Bowwood, and all the Houses on the North Side of Lea Brook.
