Additional Notes:
[1] Emery Walker (2 Apr 1851 - 22 Jul 1933) was
a printer and engraver. He was the son of a Norfolk coach builder, was
born in Paddington and educated in Chelsea. He became a friend of William
Morris and worked closely with him. By the 1911 census he was living at
7 Hammersmith Terrace, describing his occupation as a Process Engraver.
Ten years earlier he was at No3 and Thos James Cobden-Sanderson, a friend
of EW and with whom he set up Doves Press, was in No7; the pair eventually
fell out. He was knighted on 6 June 1930.
